The First

This blog was created to allow me to communicate with friends and family, to fill them in on my life and doings without having to actually communicate with anyone. My cellphone is broken, I can access email every other week, and I live by myself in the mountains of New Hampshire. There is a term for this way of life: caretaking. I am a caretaker of the AMC's Zealand Falls Hut this fall My job? To take care of the hut. Some might argue that I also take care of myself--i.e. mama Heinrichs-- but seeing as two days into the job I have already I stopped shaving, started eating snickers by the bakers dozen, guzzling coffee by the gallon, and exercising mainly by shivering, this view is hard to support. Sorry mama. I have few adventures to tell as of yet but hope to report back in a week or so with stories full of trials and tribulations, swashbuckling tales of the raise-the-hairs-on the-back-of-the-your-neck-and-front-of-your-arms variety. Or maybe I'll just have slept alot. Only time will tell.
